Visiting the Vegas Sphere? Here’s What to Expect

How can you anyone not like that little face?

If you’re ever in Vegas, you should check out the Vegas Sphere. It’s round, it’s a little cheeky, and it’s completely one of a kind. The Sphere has changed the Las Vegas skyline and what a live show can be. From its hypnotic outside to its powerful inside technology, it’s a new kind of landmark. If you’re heading to Vegas and want to see it, here’s a guide to get you up to speed.

Meet Orbi: The Emoji Sensation

You can’t talk about the Sphere without mentioning Orbi, the giant emoji that has won over the world. Orbi lives on the Exosphere—the world’s largest LED screen—and shows up every day to express a wide range of moods.

Orbi has gone viral countless times, appearing as a festive jack-o’-lantern, a giant sweating eyeball during a heatwave, and even celebrating holidays. The emoji has become a big part of the Sphere’s brand, and you can get T-shirts, hoodies, and keychains with its face on them from the Sphere online shop.

The Technology Behind the Magic

The Sphere isn’t just a big screen; it’s a venue built for a full-body experience.

  • The Exosphere: The outside is a massive, programmable screen made up of 1.2 million LED pucks. This is where you see all the incredible visuals that have made the building famous.
  • The Interior: Inside, you’ll find the world’s largest and highest-resolution wraparound LED screen. At 160,000 square feet, it covers nearly every surface, making you feel like you’re inside the action.
  • Specialized Audio: The Sphere uses a unique sound system with 167,000 speakers that can send sound directly to each seat. This makes the music and sound effects feel incredibly personal and clear.
  • Multi-Sensory Effects: Certain shows use seats that vibrate with the music. The venue can also use special effects like wind and even scents to pull you deeper into the story.

What’s Happening Now: Shows and Residencies

The Sphere hosts all sorts of shows, from long-running concert residencies to its special “Sphere Experiences.”

As of late 2025, here’s a look at what’s on the schedule:

  • Immersive Films: The main show is The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, which uses all the venue’s technology for a truly one-of-a-kind adventure. You can also catch Postcard from Earth, a stunning documentary about our planet.
  • Concert Residencies: The Eagles are playing a series of shows, with the Zac Brown Band and Backstreet Boys set to take the stage later this year and into early 2026.
  • Other Events: The venue also has an ongoing dance music experience, Insomniac x Tomorrowland: UNITY.

Things to Know Before Your Visit

  • Picking a Seat: For a great view of the full screen, go for seats in sections 200 and 300. Seats in the lower 100 section may have a view that’s cut off by the upper level.
  • Arriving: The Sphere is a huge place, so give yourself plenty of time to get through security and find your seat. It’s a good idea to show up at least 45 minutes before the show.
  • Parking and Getting Around: The Sphere is connected to the Venetian Resort, making it easy to walk over. On-site parking is limited, so using a rideshare app or parking at a nearby hotel is a smart move.
  • Packing: The venue has strict security and bag rules. It’s best to leave any large bags at your hotel.
  • A Sensory Experience: The visuals and sound are very intense. If you or someone with you is sensitive to bright lights, loud noises, or motion, be ready for a powerful show.
